So this weekend I went shopping and got a few goodies.
Superdrug had lots of good offers so I picked up some items I had been wanting to try for a while.
Real techniques had 3 for 2 so I picked up my favourite makeup sponges in the double pack £9.99, the new brush cleansing palette £12.99 and the new deep cleansing brush gel £6.99
I’m really excited to try the brush cleaning palette.
online it claims to extend the life of your brushes with regular cleaning by cleansing, swirling, rinsing, and drying. This is your one step solution.
Surface 1: For removing makeup from large sized brushes such as face brushes
Surface 2: For removing makeup from medium sized brushes such as eye brushes
Surface 3: For removing makeup from small sized brushes such as eye detailing brushes
Surface 4: Lay your brushes on the mitt, bristles downward, for best drying results.
I have already tried the deep cleaning gel and I love it, so I picked up another one while it was on offer. this claims to Improve brush performance for makeup brushes, has no alcohol or phthalates, and detoxifies and purifies.
cleaning makeup brushes can be a boring job but it has to be done, so anything that makes it easier is helpful.
next I picked up some skin care items, my skin is really playing up lately I’m suffering with bad breakouts and I cant pin point what’s causing them so I wanted to try out some new skin care products. I also purchased the Mario Badescu drying lotion & the LA pro concealer from www.beautybay.com
First up is this Superdrug naturally radiant Glycolic overnight peel. I had seen someone raving about this on my Instagram and I had also been told Glycolic is good for blemishes and scaring.
Naturally Radiant Glycolic Overnight Peel is formulated with a unique energising complex infused with Kiwi Fruit and Mulberry Extracts to help revive skin’s radiance and even out skin tone. With Glycolic Acid, a powerful Alpha Hydroxy (AHA) and a Fruit Acid blend, the refreshing gel formula also refines and retexturises the skin’s surface, providing a brighter, more youthful complexion. According to the Superdrug website.
Kiwi Fruit Extract has a rich source of Vitamin C, which is renowned for its remarkable ability to help brighten and even out skin tone
Mulberry Fruit Extract has naturally strong brightening properties, which can help to reduce discolouration and even out skin tone.
Glycolic Acid is an effective Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) which retexturises the skin’s surface, helping to fade pigment irregularities and smooth fine lines and wrinkles for a brighter, more youthful complexion.
directions, you put this on just before bed and leave it on overnight and wash off in the morning.
I cant wait to try this out, I paid £2.98 for this although it is on offer and is normally £5.99
Superdrug clearly youthful exfoliating cream cleanser £3.69
contains soothing Allantoin and Bisabolol which effectively removes make-up and impurities for a refreshed and radiant complexion.
online it states that Skin should feel softer and smoother, looks clearer and more radiant

Again I picked this up as some one recommended it and because this whole line was on offer, I love anything that states it will help with skin appearance and make my skin more radiant. I have been trying this for the past 2 nights and the only issue I have is the smell. its very strong and not the nicest smell.
This is another Glycolic peel product but its a peel off mask, I was unsure about this as I had already purchased the other Glycolic peel product but it was the last one left and I knew I would regret it if I didn’t get it, this one said it was more for problem skin and blemishes so I really wanted to try it, its currently out of stock online and has really good reviews.

I actually purchased this Mario Badescu drying lotion on Beauty bay, I had heard so many people say this was brilliant for drying out blemishes, If anyone knows of Desi Perkins on youtube she also raves about this product, it is pricey at £12.50 for 29ml but I wanted to see if this would work for me.
Beauty bays description says its an excellent spot treatment made with a blend of Calamine and Salicylic Acid, clears up and soothes unsightly whiteheads overnight without irritating surrounding skin. Suitable for all skin types, provides immediate relief from unsightly whiteheads and pimples; simply dab one drop of the solution on each erupted area overnight to wake up to a clearer, healthier complexion.
now I have been using this for about a week now, and a lot of girls I had spoke to said they had seen results the next day so I was hoping to wake up and see a little difference or at least hoping my skin looked less red and irritated in my problem area. but so far I haven’t seen much of a difference it has maybe dried out a couple but my more irritated blemishes I have on my chin are taking a while to go, over the past year I have been suffering with red painful cysts under the skin rather than say white heads or black heads, I was always lucky growing up I was the one who always had clear nice skin but now 24 I seem to get more spots now then I ever did, I’m actually thinking of going to see someone about this, I mean don’t get me wrong I am lucky in the fact its no where near being acne its just the odd few spots on my chin but its really getting me down. I’m going to stick at using this drying lotion and hope that I see some improvement.
Next I got these new Sleek makeup I-divine palettes in All night long & A new day.
Soon as I saw these I loved them, I love a neutral eye shadow palette, I couldn’t decide between them so I ended up getting both and even better sleek was buy one get one half price so I actually got both for £11.98 each palette is £7.99 each.
Sleek All night Long
Sleek A new day
Now they do look really similar but I couldn’t decide as one palette had more matte shades in and the other had a couple more shimmer shades but I think my favourite is A new day. both these palettes have a selection of Smokey nudes, beige, taupe’s, mauves, shimmering gold’s & bronzes, My perfect kind of eye shadows. They are really creamy and pigmented as well, I am thinking of doing a more detailed post on these with swatches and shade names if anyone will be interested.
So that was my latest beauty Haul, I hope you have enjoyed reading!
