World Duty Free Makeup Shopping

World Duty Free Makeup Shopping

Hi All,

Happy Monday, I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

I’ve been meaning to put this post up for a few weeks now so please forgive me but I’m only just getting around to it, but I thought as It’s holiday season and lots of you are going away I thought it would be the perfect time to post this as I’m sure a lot of us girls check out Word duty free especially for makeup!

We go away quite a lot and I always like to have a look in duty free but some times I don’t always buy stuff, say if I’m going to America as I like to save my money for Sephora and ulta etc but my boyfriend recently went away for a few days and brought me back a couple of presents from world duty free, I’m so glad he supports and understands my makeup addiction ha ha! He did ask me if I needed anything and I just asked if he would have a quick look at the benefit counter as I love all the little sets they do. I wasn’t expecting much to be honest as let’s be honest what man enjoys looking at makeup or even asking for help at a makeup counter ha ha, but I was surprised When he came back with a couple of goodies, so I just wanted to do a little post on these and show you what I got.

First up is the benefit do the hoola set which I think he said he paid  £23 for which isn’t bad for what you get, I think other places sell this for about £28. Like I said I love benefit sets, they are so cute and it’s such a good way to test out some of the products, I already love the hoola bronzer but I’m yet to try out the new liquid version so I’m excited this set has it. Plus don’t you think there is just something about mini makeup that is just so cute ?

The set includes

  • Hoola bronzing powder mini.
  • Dew The Hoola liquid bronze mini.
  • Benebalm hydrating tinted lip balm mini.
  • They’re Real! Mascara mini in black.
  • Hoola Ultra Plush Lip Gloss mini.

I love the fact these are travel size, they’re so perfect to put in my makeup bag, and I like trying these size products first, so If I love a particular product I can buy the full size.

He also phoned me while he was there and asked about this Nars studio cheek palette, he knows I love my palettes and I actually don’t own much from Nars apart from a few brushes so I was excited to get this, it’s the perfect face palette, it has contour, highlight, bronzer,  and 4 blush shades so this is really handy for travel as well, I think it has everything you need in a face palette. I also love the packaging too, the fact it has the silver mirror finish on the front it’s different to NARS standard soft rubber textured packaging.

I’ve looked everywhere for the shade names in this palette as on the back it just has numbers so I believe this is correct as its from the Nars website.

The palette shades are:

  • Paloma contour duo
  • Famous Laguna bronzer
  • I Blush in Icy Lilac
  • II Blush in Sausalito Sunset
  • III Blush in Shimmering Rose Peach
  • IV Blush in Fleshy Pink

I might do a more in-depth review on this with swatches etc if anyone is Interested,  just let me know.

I believe he said he paid about £40 for this, he couldn’t remember exactly which isn’t helpful to my post but when I had a look online I think this retailed for around £49 so again it’s worth having a look at duty free as you can save your self a few ££s

I know a few girls I follow on twitter are on holiday at the moment and have or are picking up some duty free goodies. Us girls don’t need an excuse to buy makeup do we??

Let me know if you have picked up any duty free makeup recently on your travels  🙂

Also quick tip if you go on the world duty free website and click your terminal number you can see what brands are stocked at that particular Terminal which is handy.

Thanks for reading
