OUAI Hair Products By Jen Atkin

So it’s safe to say I’m addicted to OUAI!! If you don’t know what the hell im talking About it’s the luxury hair care line from the amazing Jen Atkins who by the way I’m obsessed with she’s the celebrity hair dresser To the stars including the kardashains! I follow Jen on snap chat and get so many  hair tips from her, she’s great and so funny to watch.

She launched her own hair care line called OUAI (pronounced way) it actually has a French vibe to it and OUAI actually means yes. And I’ve got to say it’s pretty amazing and definitely worth the price tag. I had wanted to try some of these for a while now and my birthday was the perfect time to ask for some bits, and I was lucky enough to get some of the products I had wanted the most.

  •  wave spray £22
  • hair oil £24
  • texturising hair spray £22
  • dry shampoo £20
  • finishing creme £20
  • masque treatment £25

And while I was in space NK I couldn’t help but also pickup the masque treatment and finishing cream.

Straight away I loved the packaging, it’s simple but so sleek chic and stylish I think this really sums up Jen’s overall style. It looks so pretty on my shelf as well in my beauty room which is a bonus ha ha.

Lets start with the hair oil and wave spray, they’re both amazing, and smell so good too, I think when a hair product smells nice as well it makes it even better, the hair oil will last me ages as you only need a tiny bit, so a little goes a long way with this stuff, it’s light and smells gorgeous. It can be applied to wet or dry hair and I do both as I have got thick dry hair especially the ends so I love using an oil. After I applied  this I could no longer feel my dry ends it really helped so I knew straight away I loved this. The wave spray seems to be the most talked about and loved item from OUAI so I knew I needed to try it, plus I am always curling and trying to create waves in my hair, I have been put off with other waves sprays as they can make it look dry and a little bit ratty looking but this doesn’t do that at all, again it’s a lightweight spray and doesn’t feel sticky like some can. I do have slightly wavy hair anyway so I’m not sure Its created waves but it defiantly helps me style my hair. It’s give it more of a nicer look rather than just got out of bed messy hair that I always seem to have.

The dry shampoo and texturising hair spray was another thing that gets talked about a lot, and seems to also be popular so again I did really want to try these. I can’t live without dry shampoo it’s a must for me as I have bleached blonde hair it tends to get a bit brassy the more I colour it so I definitely like to use a dry shampoo and this one is so nice, it smelly amazing and doesn’t leave a thick white/grey look in the hair like I’ve just put talc in it and it also doesn’t make my scalp itch either as a lot of other makes of dry shampoo do this to me. The texturising spray is another one of my favourites, like dry shampoo and hair spray had a Baby, this is what OUAI clams, so it’s not got amazing hold for styling but it definitely gives my hair extra texture and volume when I spray this at the root. I’ve watched a few of Jens videos and I spray this on my hair before I style it to give it some extra oomph and then just add a little bit after it’s been styled. If you’re looking for a strong hold hair spray then this isn’t it but Jen has a new medium hair spray out that might be better for you. I don’t like spraying loads of hair spray on my hair anyway so this is perfect for me it gives just the right amount of texture and hold for me.

The finishing creme is the only product I’m yet to try so I can’t give my review on this just yet but I actually got it as I love anything like this, finishing cremes, oils etc I love. From what I’ve read online this sounds pretty good so I don’t think it will disappoint, it protects from heat styling, smooths dry ends and give hair a light reflecting shine.

The hair masque I really wanted as I do obviously bleach my hair and it’s very dry so I do like using a weekly treatment. If you follow me on snap you would have seen I used this the other week and loved it my hair literally felt like silk. I left it on for about 10 mins and rinsed it out. Once my hair was dry it felt so soft. You get 8 sachets and I only needed half the packet to completely cover my hair so these will last me a while.

All these OUAI products are free of parabens and not tested on animals.

I am really loving what I’ve tried so far and I’m interested to try the shampoo and conditioner next, I will definitely repurchases when I run low on these products, I actually can’t tell you what my favourite product is as I love them all.

But Like I said before these aren’t cheap and are only available from higher end retailers like Sephora, cult beauty, space NK , Selfridges but I totally feel like they are worth the price, your hair will thank you for it 🙂

Have you tried anything from this range? Let me know below.

As as always thanks for reading loves. xo

Thank you 🙂 yes the masque is really good, I also use olaplex no 3 at home treatment Which is amazing if you have blonde hair. I use that when my hair is really bad and also when I’m going to the salon to go lighter. Xo
