Makeup Obsession Palette Review

Makeup Obsession Palette Review

Hi beauties,

Todays post is all about a new brand I’ve heard lots about and seen all over Instagram lately. The brand is Makeup Obsession, it’s by the team TAM beauty the same company behind makeup revolution, freedom makeup and I <3 makeup to name a few. I was keen to try some products as I love both makeup revolution and freedorm makeup so I had high hopes for this brand, I went ahead and purchased some bits to test and review for you guys.

This is currently only available in selected boots stores and online. I did wing it and purchased mine online which I never do I always like to see what I’m buying and love swatching but I did really want to try this so I couldn’t wait.

What I loved is the fact it’s so affordable and so current with the beauty industry, It’s such a fab idea and what the UK so desperately needed in the drugstore! You basically buy a palette and fill it with anything you like it can be completely customised with eyeshadow, blush and highlighter pans.

The price is so cheap and the palettes start off at just £4 and they have so many colours and sizes to choose from, obvisouly I went with the gold palette. I do love my gold.

The single eyeshadows are only £2 each!! such a bargain and they actually have a really good selection of shades considering they’re a new brand. The blush and highlighter pans are £3 each, again really affordable.

I thought I would start of with just trying the shadows first as I have so many highlighters etc. I wanted to create a warm toned palette, so I just went with the images online and for the price I thought it was worth a go and hoped for the best. I got the 6 sized palette which was £6 and then the 6 singe eyeshadow pans so the whole thing cost me £18 which isn’t bad at all.

I love the idea of creating your own palette, and these empty palettes are only to be used with the Makeup Obsession pans as they are specially made to fit.  Which In a way is cool as it’s unique to the brand but I do wish we could use these for all prodcuts as I love the colours you can buy and they feel so sturdy and come with a good quality mirror, much better than the zpalettes in my opinion.

Another thing I love is the single pans come In a separate plastic case which is fantastic as a lot of refillable and custom palettes you buy with the single pans come in a flimsy cardboard pouch, so you could actually keep these in the case they come in or use the palette it’s totally up to you.

They just pop out and clip into the palette, it’s really easily.

These are the shades I decided to go with, like I said I wanted a warm type palette perfect for atunmn winter.

I’m really impressed with how pigmented they are and how nicely they blend on the eyes. I don’t think you can go wrong with the price. I think from what I’ve seen and read from other peoples reviews some shades are better than others and seem to be more pigmented. which I can agree on, some of the shades I have are a lot more pigmented and pick up more product. I am reallly happy with the shades I picked out though.

I also think makeup artists and college students studying beauty will love these as they are great for travel and on the go, and because they’re so affordable you could buy loads for your kit and it wont break the bank.

how pretty is this? I cant believe the quality of it for the price and it just looks so luxurious on my vanity with the gold detail. I’m definitely going to pick up the rose gold next ha I’m such a blogger aren’t I!?

I’m going to have a look online and see what boots stores stock this and go pick some highlighters up in person and check out a few of the other eyeshadow shades.

I know this brand is going to be a huge hit! it’s just what us girls need and totally stands out from all the other drugstore brands.

Have you came cross Makup obsession? will you be customising your own palette? let me know below.

I saw on your snapchat that you got a few of their eyeshadows! This was a great read! And I agree that it’s a good concept to be able to choose your palette and choose the shades you want in your palette. You chose a nice selection there! I was tempted to buy these as they do sell them at my local Boots store! So that’s great and an even bigger temptation. But you have sold it to me! It might take me ages to choose my shades now…. lol. x

Aw thank you! And That’s the problem isn’t it choosing the shades! They have a great selection! Least your local store has them so you can do and swatch them all and have a play around. I need to find a store so I can see the highlighter shades in person! Xo

They really are fantastic for the price, I was really impressed by some of the shades, but the contour ones are definitely my favourite at the moment 🙂

Ooo really I didn’t even think to check the contour ones. I have got loads of eyeshadows at the moment so definitely don’t need anymore but I do want to look at the highlighters and blush next! Xo
