Barry M Lip Kit Review

I was unsure if I was going to do a post about these as they are limited edition and I hate talking about products that are limited edition as I feel bad when people can’t get hold of them, but I have seen these online and still in a few stores. So hopefully you can still manage to pick them up. Although these lip kits and particular shades are limited edition Barry M have recently launched the Matte me Up liquid lip paints in a selection of shades so I’m going to review them anyway, as I am loving these and really want to talk about them.

We all know Kylie cosmetics lip kits have taken over and everyone loves a lip kit now, I love Kylie’s don’t get me wrong but the price and shipping to the UK just isn’t worth it anymore so I’m really happy drugstore brands are bringing out more affordable ones.

You get a liquid lipstick and lip liner for £6.99 which is amazing, and these lip kits come in 3 shades GO TO, POSE, RUNWAY.

I picked up the shade GO TO which is a gorgeous cool toned brown nude ( my favourite kind of nude)

I had to have this one, I love nude shades like this and just FYI this is an amazing Dupe for Kylie’s Dolce K!! I loved it so much I had to go and get a back up!

The formula is incredible, not like any other drugstore liquid lipsticks I’ve tried, I have to be honest I rarely buy drugstore liquid lipsticks anymore as I’m always left a bit disappointed, the sleek  and NYX ones were so drying and patchy!

I think everyone who has tried these has loved them, the formula is a little runny but it dries in seconds and is so pigmented, it doesn’t feel super drying or cling to the lips or in any lines, it feels really comfortable to wear, I was so shocked when I first tried them! they feel so much more comfortable to wear than Kylie’s although they aren’t as long lasting in my opinion. If I eat any thing greasy it can take most of it off, which isn’t a massive deal to me becuase I don’t mind re applying, sometimes you can’t expect it all, its pretty rare to find a liquid lipstick that has a comfortable formula but is also super long lasting.

This is what you get in the box, a Liquid lipstick and lip pencil. The lip pencil is like the standard £2.99 Barry M lip pencils, but still really creamy and pigmented.

I loved the shade so much I had to get another one.

I love the applicator, its small and is a perfect shape for easy application.

The lip liner is a little bit darker, but it’s still a gorgeous colour, I and totally in love with this shade GO TO, this will suit lots of skin tones too.

I didn’t pick up the other shades as I knew I wouldn’t wear them as much as this one, POSE is a more of baby pink nude, almost like Kylie’s Koko k, and RUNWAY is darker pinky/red almost like a berry shade which is a dupe for Kylie’s Kristen.

I have been wearing mine non stop since I got it a few weeks ago, and I’m so impressed with this, Barry M have done such an amazing job with these, I cant wait to see what shades they bring out in the single Matte me up lip paints. I am hoping for lots more nude shades!!

These are available from Boots and superdrug both in store and online.

Did you manage to pick any of these up?

Thanks for reading xo

I’ve never tried any of Kylie’s lip kits or makeup as I just can’t do it for the price, shipping and no doubt customs charge! I’ve also heard lots of mixed reviews about them so I just don’t think they’re worth it. These on the other hand sound like the perfect alternative! I’ve only ever tried nail products from Barry M but it looks like I might have to try a few other bits now!

I got my hands on Go To as well and I am so pleasantly surprised as to how amazing the formula is! I now have a Kylie Lip Kit and I’m not going to lie, I think this is a very good dupe for them in terms of formula! xx
