My Goals For 2018

It’s not the start of the new year if you don’t make some sort of goals or new years resolutions right?! we all know that we don’t stick to resolutions  no matter how hard we try so I much rather like setting myself goals to achieve. So here is some of my 2018 blog and personal goals for myself including things I’m going to change and do differently this year.

Blog Goals

  • Not compare myself to others & focus on my own goals and achievements
  • Don’t waste my energy on negative people who try to bring me and my blog down
  • Cutting out toxic people ( don’t be afraid to do this your be surprised how much better this will make you feel) I say this because last year taught me a lot about so called blogger friends.
  • Blog more this year and try to aim for 2/3 posts a week
  • Blog more about my home and DIY projects as people seem to love these
  • Aim to be nominated for more blog award and hopefully try to win them ( but if not being nominated is enough)
  • Work with more amazing brands who I love
  • Don’t be afraid to reach out first to brands (it is scary but sometimes it pays off)
  • Try to smash my social media goals especially instagram (I’ve been trying for 5k for over a year)
  • Improve my blog stats (page views etc)
  • Advertise my blog posts more on social media as I definitely don’t do this enough
  • Improve and change-up my photography
  • Try to attend more blogger events
  • Take every opportunity I can get

Personal Goals

  • Get healthy and lose weight (due to health issues last year I put on a lot)
  • Live each day like it’s my last and do things I usually wouldn’t (last year made me realise this, life is too short)
  • Explore more
  • Take photos of everything (for memories to look back on)
  • Become more confident in myself and stop doubting myself
  • Don’t stress about the stupidest of things
  • Don’t take what people say or think to heart and rise above it
  • Meet more of my blogger friends and don’t feel shy or embarrassed
  • Travel more and Book more holidays
  • Finish more rooms in our house

What goals have you set this year for yourself? of maybe not goals but things you want to change or do better at?  let me know below.

I love all these goals! I, too, am trying to reach out to bigger companies for opportunities and you’re totally right. It’s a little scary. XOXO.

I am useless at keeping to goals of the year ahead. I know you’re gonna do so well though. I like to think I have no toxic people in my life anymore. I cut them out as soon as I left school and I have felt so much better since x

I really enjoyed reading this whilst waiting for my tea to brew! I totally agree that NOT letting toxic people effect your mindset is so important, focussing on your own goals and happiness is for more necessary! Im so excited to see some more of your DIY creations through out the year! x

Wow that’s a lot of goals! It’s great to aim high. I really agree with you on the one about meeting other bloggers and not being nervous – I’m so bad at that! Got to remember that the other person might be feeling nervous too and to just go for it!
