urban decay review

I wanted to do a post and focus on a brand I have been absolutely loving this month and that is Urban Decay, If you follow me on social media you will know I was invited to the event for the launch of the new naked heat palette recently, which I was very excited about and I had so much fun, I met some lovely other bloggers, youtubers and makeup addicts, as well as Jen and Lydia from Urban decay who I loved, those girls are so lovely, and It felt like Lydia was one of my long-lost friends, we just hit it off straight away, which is always nice when going to these events.

So the naked heat palette is the palette that literally everyone is talking about right now and for good reason, it’s definitely my favourite naked palette so far!! well done Urban decay, well done!! So obviously at the event I got given the palette and a little goody bag which was so lovely as it has given me the chance to finally try out the famous all nighter setting spray that is very well loved and always raved about, but I just hadn’t got around to picking it up myself!

Urban decay collection

I’m going to be talking about some cult classics from Urban decay like the setting spray and eyeshadow primer and also some new launches which I was very looking forward to trying.

Shapshifter Palette In light – medium

urban decay shape shifter palette

I have been loving this contour and colour corrector palette, I do love a bit of contour, bronzer and highlighter, although I don’t colour correct that much I was intrigued by this palette. It’s absolutly perfect for travel because it’s all in one and has a handy mirror as well. The shades are perfect for my skin tone as im more fair/light, I’ve used all of these powders and love them all, I’ve used the matte highlight powder to set my face and under my concealer etc and then I like using the lighter contour powder to define my cheeks a bit more and then the darker shade to bronze up my face. The powders are super pigmented and blend lovely.  I have been using it non stop since I got it and it’s definitely coming on holiday with me!! If you’re more fair or light and worry about contour powders being to dark this is perfect as it has the more lighter cooler tone to create the shadows and then the warmer darker shade for warming up the face.

shapeshifter swatches

Heres just a swatch of the powders just to show you how pigmented they are, you really do only need to slighty tap into the palette as the pigment is so good. All these shades work perfect for my skin tone.

Shapeshifter F113 pro Duo Brush

The shape shifter duo brush I’ve also been loving, its perfect for this palette, it has the fan side which is perfect for dusting on highlighter and the other side is more dense to sculpt out the cheek bones, the brush is super soft so it’s really easy to use and blend out product.

Naked Heat Palette

naked heat palette

Now I haven’t reviewed this palette or done any swatches on my blog as I just felt like everyone has talked about this so much,  and what more can I say that others haven’t, but I am loving this, it is perfect for both summer and autumn, the smokey warm brown and orange tones I am seriously in love with lately. The shades are so pigmented and blend out like a dream. When I was at the event one of the Urban Decay makeup artist used this on Lydia and actually used one of the shades as a blush, it looked so gorgeous, I can’t wait to play around with this some more. It also goes perfect with the original eyeshadow primer potion, I can’t live without using eyeshadow primer, and this one is definitely a must have, It makes my shadow last for hours!!

Quick Fix Priming spray & All nighter setting spray

all nighter spray

If you know me then you know I love a good face spray. whether its primers, setting sprays or even sprays that just refresh the skin. I have quite the collection of face sprays but I didn’t have any from Urban Decay so I was really excited to try these.

The Quick Fix Hydra-Charged Complexion Prep Priming Spray I use before I add anything to my face in the mornings and before I apply my makeup, it just really freshens up the skin and makes you feel awake, It smells gorgeous as well like coconuts, you can use this over makeup as well to just hydrate and freshen up the skin. It claims to reduce the appearance of pores, replaces lost moisture and wakes up the skin. This is like everything I want in a priming spray!

The all nighter spray is a setting spray so is used once you have completed all your makeup and you really don’t want it budging, this is so good for events, nights out, etc. It’s like superglue but without feeling like glue ha!

It claims to make your makeup last for up to 16 hours, without melting, fading or setting into fine lines.

Naked skin Highlighter fluid

naked highlighter fluid

The naked skin concealer is one of my favourites so I was looking forward to trying these, as I do love a liquid highlighter, the packaging is exactly the same as the concealers so people can get mixed up with these, and I dont see these get talked about a lot but they should as they’re so nice.

A creamy highlighter that instantly illuminates and blurs flaws for the perfect Naked glow!

I love to glow and these are just so handy to pop in your makeup bag and for travel and to touch up throughout the day. I just love the look of glowy and radiant skin on people, including myself.  These are great for strobing and giving that glow from within look.

5 shades to choose from so you will definitely find one you love.

Sin – the perfect champagne

Fireball – peach with a pink shift

Skywalk- an amazing blue

Luminous- silver white pearl

Aura – a soft pink

Vice sheer shimmer Lipstick In ex girlfriend

vice sheer shimmer lipstick

I haven’t tried the Urban Decay lipsticks before but I get recommended them all the time, I definitely need to pick up some of the liquid lipsticks next, I feel like liquid lips have taken over and no one ever talks about normal lipsticks anymore. But you can’t beat a nice lipstick for more natural days. This shade is perfect for me as I do love a nude, it’s a sheer shimmer lipstick, so it feels so moisturising on the lips and is really wearable. Also how gorgeous is the packaging?! I’m such a sucker for packaging. This shade is a your lips but better colour, a rosy type nude pink, It’s very natural, well on me it is anyway.

Rehab makeup prep pore refining peel

makeup prep pore refining mask

And lastly is the pore refining peel mask, they have just recently launched skin care which I’m dying to try actually and after using this I really want to try a few of the other skin care bits including the Hot Springs Hydrating Gel. Now I would love to say I don’t suffer with pores but I really do, and I like using creams, primers and masks that make them look smaller. I love the fact this is a peel off mask, it’s always so satisfying peeling off face masks don’t you think?!. I’ve used this a few times so will definitely report back and let you know if it’s helped with my pores.

“Rehab Makeup Prep Pore Refining Peel is like a vacuum for your pores. This easy-to-use, peel-off mask immediately draws out impurities—leaving pores visibly cleaner, more refined and smaller-looking”

So those are the products I’ve been loving from Urban Decay this month.

Have you tried any of these products mentioned? what are you currently loving from Urban decay?

Eco tools

EcoTools has been around for so long now and is a truly well loved brand, and for good reason, the products are environmentally friendly, but chic, high-quality, and affordable too!! what more could you possible want, I love that these aren’t your typical brushes and I love the eco aspect with the recycled materials, Renewable bamboo and its cruelty free! It’s nice to know what you’re using is natural and good for you and the environment.

I was recently sent this lovely package by Ecotools, and I was excited as I have heard lots of good things about some of the new products, and they dont just sell brushes anymore either they have really branched out. The sponges are what everyone is talking about recently and loving. Now I love a good makeup sponge I can’t  live without one, and these are such a good shape and I’m normally really fussy about my sponges as they have to be soft and bouncy!!

eco tools review

Sheer powder brush

facial mask sponges

Eco tools brushes

The brushes are so soft, probably the fluffiest and softest brushes I own and that’s saying something as I have quite the collection. I love the sheer powder brush, it is lovely for dusting and setting the face with powder and it’s the perfect size as well. Everyone is in to baking at the moment aren’t they and this will be a lovely brush to dust off the excess powder.

The complexion buffer is a flat top brush, so it’s good for buffing and blending, again this will be good with powders but I also think this works lovely with cream and liquid products too, any flat buffer brush is good for making sure everything is blended nicely into the skin.

The micro blending brush is one of the new ones and because of the small angled shape its great for under the eyes, especially for blending and buffing in concealer and around the hard to reach areas. It’s also fab for eyeshadows as well.

Eco tools duo blending sponge

These duo sponges are definitely amazing, and my favourite but then I knew they would be, I just can’t live without a beauty sponge. The shape of these are so different to others already on the market, it just makes it so much easier to blend out your concealer and around hard to reach areas because of the flat pointed tip. Plus you get two sizes which is so handy! These will also be great for baking and cleaning up areas where you want a sharp line, for example if you have made a bit of a mess with your eyeshadow and you want a clean wing.  They are so soft and flexible and I can confirm that they are soft and bouncy. They’re made from ecofoam which is made up of 70% plant-based materials.  I can really see these becoming  my new favourite sponges.

Blending duo sponges

Next up is these Facial mask sponges, I love the idea of these, they’re so handy for removing masks and cleansers etc I am a face mask lover especially the really messy clay ones so I like using something that will get it all off and sometimes I dont like using my favourite wash cloth, you know just in case it stains or what not, so I like the idea of having my own mini pack of sponges.  These also clean, cleanse and exfoliate the skin. So if you use a wet cleanser or makeup remover to take your makeup off these will be perfect for that, definitely multi use and perfect for travel too.

So those are some of the bits I’m currently loving from ecotools, Have you tried any of the ecotool range or some of the new products??  Let me know below.

You can find ecotool products online and in most retailers including boots and Superdrug.

L'Oréal paradise mascara

This has probably been the most excited I have been for a drugstore mascara launch in a long time. I had seen all over social media and YouTube the lash paradise mascara that recently came out in the U.S and not going to lie it looked like a Total dupe for the too faced better than sex mascara, which happens to be my favourite mascara. I wasn’t sure when this would launch in the U.K. Or if we would even get it at all, as I’m still upset over us not getting the pro glow foundation,  sobs!!

But this paradise extatic range has just launched in the U.K. and is already online and in certain boots and Superdrug stores, I know it launches properly in stores over the next few weeks, don’t worry yes it has got a totally different name and packaging to the U.S version, but they do this all the time with the different markets etc so I’m not to bothered as the product seems to be the exact same. The packaging is so beautiful as well, I love the rose gold, it’s so blogger right!? L’Oréal are really killing it lately with all the new products, they’re definitely one of my favourite drugstore brands.

L'Oréal paradise mascara

The applicator wand has an hourglass shape which is definitely my favourite,  like I said I love the too faced one and this is very simliar in look and shape. It’s packed with bristles which are really soft, it’s not plastic! I’m not actually a big lover of plastic brushes, so again it’s another reason why I love this one. But it’s designed to give intense volume and spectacular length. Sounds good right!?

I just knew I was going to love this mascara from the moment I got it, and guess what I really really do. The first time I used it I actually said yep I love you, I’m literally going mad and talking to my mascara ha ha but in just one coat it gave me such good length and volume and really separated my lashes, it wasn’t at all clumpy or flakey which is what we all look for in a mascara isn’t it? I hate mascara that clumps and flakes. Some mascara aren’t that buildable and will start to go clumpy but this didn’t, which is definitely a thumbs up from me.

L'Oréal lash paradise mascara

I really loved what it did to my lashes, it makes them look lovely, so long, full and just feathery looking!  This is really buildable as well as this is only one coat, yep I only dipped the mascara in once and went over them,  I actually did three more after this and as you can imagine they were even more full and gorgeous looking.  I am lucky in the fact my mum blessed me with quite natural long lashes, so thanks mum. But I can’t live without a decent mascara, it’s definitely one of my makeup essentials and I think I might have found my new favourite that will maybe replace my too faced one!!! Eek who would have thought it ay.

L'Oréal paradise brow pomade

Next up is the pomade,  I picked it up in warm blonde, if you have blonde or light brown hair you will find a really good selection of shades, actually I would say all the shades are good, but I was really impressed with the blonde selections, they had blonde, warm blonde and dark blonde, then brunette and ebony. So definitely a shade for everyone.

I haven’t yet tried this on my brows so can’t give you a full on review, so sorry,  but its Because I’ve not been able to use any product on them yet due to the fact I had them topped up just recently so they’re still healing but I did test out the shade and formula on my hand and it felt really good and the shade was perfect.

L'Oréal brow pomade review

They also have two new paradise superliner Kajal eyeliners as well in this new range,  a white one and a black one that I might also have to pick up now after trying out both of these products and loving them!!

Mascara is currently on offer for £9.99 original price is £11.99

brow pomade is £9.99

superliners are £7.99

And is available to buy from L’Oréal, Boots and Superdrug.

Have you you tried any of this new paradise range and will you be picking anything up?

Thanks for reading beauties!

Kylie vacation collection

So you know I did a review on the Kylie ultra glow pigments I got from her summer vacation collection, which you can read here I absolutely loved them and I was lucky enough to get the Wet set palette and the send me more nudes velvet lip set so I just wanted to do a little post to round-up the collection and if it was worth it as I’m not sure, but I have a feeling these will be making another appearance sometime soon, either in a restock or maybe a permanent item, you never know with Kylie.

Kylie cosmetics vacation collection

I said how much I loved the ultra glows, I am totally obsessed with them and have been using them every day since I got them! So when I managed to order the wet set and velvets I felt so lucky as it literally sold out In minutes. It took about 2 weeks to arrive I believe which is pretty standard of Kylie cosmetics and I had a £27 custom fee eeek, I know its expensive but really the VAT was only £19 which isn’t too bad considering I got free international shipping, I hate that royal mail add-on the £8 fee it’s so annoying. But I actually really love this collection and all the products so I’m not even mad about it. Hands down I think this is the best Kylie collection so far, I love everything about the products I have, the packaging is also one of her best. I feel like she’s really stepped up her game with this one!

Wet set palette review

First off lets talk about this wet set illuminating palette, isn’t it just sooo gorgeous!! the packaging is to die for, like I said hands down her best collection and packaging so far, the nude and gold is dreamyyyy!! and also looks so nice on display. ( Because ya know I just love displaying my makeup)

This and the ultra glows was what I wanted the most,  because I dont own enough highlighters already ha! but I am a sucker for a highlighter especially cream formulas as I find these are perfect for dry skin and to apply all over the body. when I saw Kylie swatching this on snapchat I was drooling not going to lie, it looked insane, but then she announced the price $62 yes $62 for four highlighter shades, I did cry a little bit, but I hadn’t ordered any Kylie stuff for quite a while and I am a sucker for her LE collections so I thought sod It I just wont eat this month, because makeup is obviously more important to me ha ha!

Kylie Wet set palette

But let me tell you when it arrived I was actually shocked how big and sturdy it was, It is really heavy and the pans are actually  big so I do think in a way the $62 is reasonable. I know it has got a lot of stick for it being a dupe for colourpop highlighters, I actually own a lot of colourpop highlighters and let me be totally honest here, because I always am, when I first felt it I did feel like the consistency was very similar to CP although Kylie’s one feels so much softer and cooler to touch, like you can press on it and it will leave a finger print indent, whereas the CP ones are still soft but definitely not as soft or delicate as Kylie’s are, I also find Kylie’s more intense, like one swatch and I was blown away! They do apply a bit like the CP ones, I think using your finger is easier as some brushes dont pick up the product but it applies beautifully and really blends into the skin.

Kylie vacation collection Wet set palette

I feel like these swatches dont even do it justice, privacy please and do not disturb are definitely my favourites. Unbothered and get away are also beautiful but more for darker skin tones and do look really similar in shade, although get away is slightly more bronze whereas unbothered is a typical gold.

Unbothered is a rose gold.

Get A Way is a deepened champagne gold.

Do Not Disturb is a pinky silver.

Privacy Please is a silvery champagne.

Next up we have the Send me more nudes velvet lip set,  now this was a last minute decision because I had watched so may videos on it, oops, I really need to stay off youtube, but everyone is literally raving about the velvets and how they’re so much better than the mattes, now I love her matte liquid lipsticks so I knew I had to try these, plus I love nudes so I was more drawn to this set then I was the KKW set as they were to pinky for me.

Kylie vacation collection Send me more nudes

Again the packaging is just beautiful, I love the gold and nude camo, and the frosted glass and nude lids. Each shade is so wearable for me and they can all be mixed together, I have been mixing bare with naked or birthday suit a lot and I love it. I can totally see what all the fuss is about, the velvets are hands down better than the mattes, if you dont like a liquid lipstick or you find matte lipsticks to drying you will love these, they still dry down matte but they are so moisturising and feel amazing on the lips. I’m hoping she brings all her shades out in these as I am a big fan!!

Kylie vacation collection Velvets

Each shade is so wearable and looks gorgeous, naked and birthday suit look quite similar here but birthday suit is very peachy also a lighter shade to exposed. I love them all and have been wearing them nonstop.

Kylie vacation collection

I’m so happy with the items I decided to get and really glad I gave in and got them, for once I dont feel disappointed or let down by any of the collection like I have done with previous LE collections I have got. I know some of you might be thinking whats the point in the post as I know all these items are sold out But I just have a feeling we will see them again and I couldn’t not share with you what I was loving.

*update*  parts of this collection has just been restocked and Kylie is also coming out with her birthday collection but can you believe it nothing actually grabs me!

Thanks for reading xo

charlotte Tilbury glowmo

#GLOWMO is here!! what the hell is GLOWMO you may ask? well It’s that you can fake that sun-kissed skin glowing goddess all year round! Now summer has officially arrived and I dont know about you but I certainly love to glow, and I would definitely like to Glow all year round. Whenever I think of Charlotte Tilbury I think of that hollywood bronze goddess glow, she’s the queen of the bronzed and glowy makeup and products and she’s worked with the best in the business.

Charlotte Tilbury healthy glow review

I was excited to try one of her new products which is apart of her Glowmo range and that is this Unisex healthy glow hydrating tint. Just the name of it had me excited, I love anything hydrating, glowy and that makes my skin look healthy looking. I have been looking for the perfect lightweight tinted moisturiser / bb cream for my holiday and I think I may have  finally found it. It gives such a nice light coverage and really does make your skin look healthy, smoothed and blurred.  What’s good about this is that it’s literally for everyone, both men and women and you dont have to worry about picking the right shade as it has natural tan pigments that are revealed once blended into the skin, so what that means is it basically morphs to your skin tone, pretty impressive huh?  Now normally I take that claim very lightly but this actually does, I was amazed how well it looked and matched my skin tone when I blended it all in. It also feels really lightweight on the skin, and feels so moisturising, It’s definitely not heavy at all, which is perfect for the summer months and to take on holiday! This really has become my summer essential. And it’s for sure coming in my makeup bag when I go to florida in september, it’s going to be perfect to wear in the florida sun!!

How I like to apply it is just like a normal moituriser, I think it applies better using your fingers, so really warm the product up and apply like a normal face moisturiser until blended. You can wear this on its own or under your foundation for flawless looking dewy skin.

Charlotte Tilbury wonder glow primer

next is the wonder glow face primer which is unlike any other primer I own, because I do prefer a more glowy/dewy finish I have used a lot of radiant primers but this is definitely my new fave! It really does smooth and blur the skin and leaves it feeling soft, and prepped for flawless makeup application. It has a really nice texture and you can see the shimmer on you hands and skin when your rubbing it in, but dont worry you wont look like the tin man, it’s actually really natural and gorgeous and just makes you look radiant and like you have that glow from within look. I found that it really helped prime and smooth the skin, it didn’t cling to dry bits and it made my foundation apply so much nicer and gave me that radiant finish I love and crave. I think dewy and radiant skin looks so gorgeous for the summer months and even if your dry or more oily I think Charlotte Tilbury products work for everyone.

Charlotte Tilbury full fat lashes review

The Full fat lashes mascara is one of Charlotte Tilbury’s iconic products, it is well loved and for good reason, it’s a brilliant mascara, I think a mascara is definitely one of my makeup bag essentials that I just can’t live without. Finding a good mascara you love and will re purchase over and over again is hard to find, bit I believe I’ve found it. I am rubbish at applying false lashes but with using this I dont even think I need any, it adds volume, length and really separates each lash, I dont find it clumpy or flakey which is a must for me, A mascara that runs or flakes on me is a definite NO NO! I love the brush applicator and shape as you can see how many bristles it has so it really coats and separates each lash! This is definitely worth the investment girls!

charlotte tilbury retoucher concealer

A few other products I want to just mention that I also love from Charlotte Tilbury is the Retoucher concealer It is amazing for brightening and making your under eyes look awake and radiant, it’s so hydrating and just soaks into the skin. I love this for days when I just want to add the tiniest bit of concealer as it just makes your skin look really nice and fresh-faced, plus it’s just the right amount of coverage.

Charlotte Tilbury glowmo

The famous Bar of gold illuminating highlighter is also a classic charlotte Tilbury product that everyone was after at one point, I love a highlighter so obviously I had to get my hands on this beauty, and to my surprise it’s still available. It really doesn’t disappoint, it’s so beautiful and it is the perfect gold shade, not to yellow or dark, I think this suits so many skin tones and looks so gorgeous on. It really gives your cheek bones that beautiful illuminated sun-kissed glow.

My Charlotte Tilbury wish list just keeps on growing, I have so many products I want to try Including the new Overnight bronze and glow mask and the airbrush flawless finish powder!!. Have you tried any of this and will you be joining in the GLOWMO?!

Thanks for reading
