Ideal world kindly sent me some goodies to get me all ready and in the mood for the girls night in event.

So here is a couple of things I will be using tomorrow night while I take part in the chat,  Ideal world actually stock these items to so if you want to grab them yourself they will be having a three hour event on Friday which starts at 8mp  they’re hosting it on their  tv shopping Chanel which can be found on sky 654, free view 22, virgin 747 or you can live stream at ideal world

Geltouch starter kit £34.99

I am so excited to try this Gel touch nail kit, I love doing my own nails and I’ve had gel kits in the past but with a lot of them it can work out quite expensive because you have to buy all the nail varnishes for that particular brand to use with the gel machine. But what I love about this is that you can use any nail varnish it doesn’t even have to be a gel it could be your favourite cheap nail varnish and you can use the Gel top coat that’s provided with this starter set to get salon quality nails. I love how gel nails last longer and look really shiny, so I will definitely be trying this out tomorrow night, keep an eye out on my instagram stories as I might show you the finished results.

Geltouch duo of nail varnish £17.99

So although I was saying you dont have to use an actual gel nail varnish for the gel touch lamp, you can buy these gel touch duos and use them along with the top coat, so if you’re really after that professional salon look and quality and prefer gel nails you will love these, they come in a selection of colours, but the ones I have are perfect bright summer shades, a lovely pink and red.

Linda Lusardi my miracle caviar and pearl eye serum £19.99

I love trying new skin care, and especially for a pamper night, face creams, serum and masks are definitely my essentials for a girls night in. This Linda Lusardi my miracle caviar and pearl eye serum sounds amazing, obviously I havent used it yet but I will tell you a bit more about it, its anti ageing, leaves skin looking and feeling more radiant, helps fight dark circles, soothes the eye area and makes it feel more silky smooth.

I have got a thing about eye treatments and mask etc lately, Im really in to looking after my under eyes while I still have the chance.

Liquilift slenderwrap

I have tried this slender wrap before when I got sent the ideal world bloggers beauty box, And it was pretty impressive, I feel like you have to be quite healthy and active to actually benefit from it though, don’t do what I did and use it and expect to be half a stone lighter the next day haha!! The way I feel about my body at the moment I need to be wrapped like a mummy in this stuff.  But I love the fact it improves the appearance of uneven fatty deposits, My boyfriend will kill me for this but when he saw me opening my goodies earlier he picked this up and said he was going to steal it from me and give it a go over night ha ha bless him, I will have to fight him for it I think!!

I got some other goodies in this package to that I can’t wait to try out and also eat, yep I have edible snacks too!! I have had a stressful week so I’m really looking forward to relaxing tomorrow and having some fun with my girls on twitter, I haven’t been in a twitter chat for a while and it’s just what I need, you can meet and get talking to lots of fab people and fellow bloggers in these chats it can be a right laugh so I hope to see some of you involved and come join in the fun.

Also do let me know what you love doing for a pamper and girls night in??

Thanks for reading xo

Although it doesn’t feel like it, summer is actually nearly here, well lets hope we get one, can never tell with the british weather can you? But I know when the weather starts to change I like to change up my makeup products to.

So I thought I would do a post all about the products I’m currently loving and products I think I will use a lot over the next few months.

If you know me at all you will know I love to glow, looking dewy and radiant is a must for me, as I do have dry skin I just prefer a more dewy look. So what better time to look greasy looking than the summer months ha! No but seriously I Think dewy skin done right look gorgeous in the summer.

I am also a massive highlighter junkie, I think highlighters, face sprays and lipsticks is definitely  what I’m into the most right now, and I dont see that changing any time soon.

Face Sprays

face sprays

  • Tarte ready set radiant
  • MAC coconut fix plus
  • Cover fx illuminating spray
  • Tarte rainforest of the sea Marine boosting mist

The Main one I’m loving out of these is the Cover Fx illuminating spray, its seriously amazing and I can’t get enough, it definitely makes my makeup and face look more glowy as it has tiny shimmer particles in, but dont worry you don’t end up with random sparkly dots on your face, the nozzle on this is amazing, it sprays like a fine mist so the shimmer is really subtle.

summer highlighters

  • Lottie london shimmer squad
  • Estee Lauder heat wave
  • Tarte skin twinkle volume 2
  • Jouer rose gold
  • Tarte pro glow liquid highlighter exposed

I am a massive highlighter junkie, I think since writing this post I have bought loads more, opps. But I can’t even pick a favourite out of this bunch, to be honest with you, I have been loving the Lottie london palette a lot, the top left shade is my absolute favourite, I also love the tarte highlighters, I think I will just be putting these all over my face throughout the summer months ha!

nude lipsticks

  • Jeffree star daddy
  • Jouer rose gold lip topper
  • Jouer skinny dip lip topper
  • KVD ludwig
  • Kylie maliboo
  • Nip+fab biscuit
  • Milani adorable

I do love a nude lipstick, I know summer is all about bright bold lips but sometimes I just like a natural lipstick that I know will go with everything. I am loving the more pinky nudes recently but the brown nudes will always be my all time favourites. The Jouer lip toppers are definitely going to be my summer essential, These look gorgeous over the top of liquid lipstick and dont feel sticky at all, I just feel like it adds a really nice spring vibe with the sparkles.

  • kiko Bronzer from the summer 2.0 collection
  • Benefit Hoola
  • Still magnificent metals
  • body shop drops of sun
  • madame la la west coast bronzing serum
  • Tarte in bloom palette
  • Becca backlight priming filter
  • Buxom divine goddess luminzer
  • Bliss quench n drench moisturiser
  • L’Oreal Pro glow foundation
  • Tarte Shape Tape concealer
  • SO…? Body mists

I know I’m definitely going to have more products added to this list by the end of June ha ha I have already ordered the new Jouer Skinny dip collection from Cult beauty and I have my eye on a few more bits!! What can I say? I am a little bit obsessed with makeup!

What are your spring & Summer essentials??

Thanks for reading! x

kiko summer 2.0 collection

I mean can we just take a minute and admire how beautiful and summery this packaging is!! if this doesn’t get you in the mood for summer then I dont know what will.

I actually have 2 collections here the new summer 2.0 collection and the tropical heat range. I am a huge lover of Kiko, I have a local store so I’m pretty lucky as I know it’s so hard for people to find a kiko store. I always pop in to check out the new collections. I went on saturday and was looking at the new summer range, which I fell in love with.

I really love summer its my favourite time of year,  I love all the new makeup collections that brands bring out in the summer months, I’m all for bronze, dewy and radiant skin with bright lips!

About the Collections

Tropical Heat

The Tropical heat collection is inspired by colour and vibrancy, and actually was designed by two new italian fashion designers Juan Caro and Fabio Sasso it was created in collaboration to celebrate 20 years of Kiko Milano.

This collection screams fun, playful and adventurous, with fresh, fruity and floral products and packaging it definitely gets my attention, and im loving the summer vibes It has!!

Summer 2.0

Summer 2.0 is a collection inspired by summery colours and warmth, the theme based on passion, romance with reference to earth and fire.  You can see this collection reflects summer with the vibrant colours and gorgeous rose gold packaging.  The main element of this collection is tanned complexion, with bright matte lips and pops of colour and metallics.

Tropical Heat Dewy stick

kiko tropical heat dewy stick

I did say I love to be dewy, so when I saw this dewy stick I did get very excited. It’s a wet look sheer face stick, so really you only want to add this to the places you like to be dewy, I would apply this to my cheek bones and also before I apply makeup, it’s not greasy looking or feels greasy on the skin, it’s actually really nice. Also glossy/dewy eye lids are very in at the moment for spring summer and I think this would be great for that.

Tropical heat  Primer & Fixer spray

kiko tropical heat primer & fixer

I am loving face primers and sprays at the moment, it seems like primer sprays are very in at the moment and I dont think that will change anytime soon.  Seems like every brand is coming out with primer sprays. I love that this is both a primer and fixer. Its got such a refreshing scent, I love scented face sprays, I think they’re perfect for summer. This one here is red fruits and it smells incredible.

summer 2.0 Lips & Cheek

kiko summer 2.0 lip and cheeks

This two in one matte lip & cheek in Tonic fuchsia can be used as a lipstick and a blush!! I love products like this as they’re perfect for travel and festivals etc and this colour is so pretty for summer. A gorgeous fuchsia pink which will suit so many skin tones. I love a matte lipstick it’s literally all I wear, so I’m really glad this is a matte formula! I’ve spotted a nude shade I’ve got my eye on next.

kiko lip swatch

Tropical Heat face brush

kiko tropical heat face brush

I am a bit of a makeup brush junkie, I have so many as I think you can never have enough, especially when you can’t be bothered to wash them ha ha. This face brush is so gorgeous and soft, I absolutely love the design on the handle it’s so pretty and summery, I will definitely be able to find this one easily in my collection. I actually think this is perfect for bronzer, blush, and loose powders. The hairs are synthetic as well so are really soft, and feel good quality. I also love white haired brushes, anyone else??

Summer 2.0 Bronzer

kiko summer 2.0 bronzer

Another product In this collection I am absolutely loving is this baked bronzer, its huge and will last me forever, which is a bonus, plus I love baked powders! I’ve got it in the shade sun celebration honey which is perfect for me, it’s not to orange or muddy looking, it’s the perfect bronzer shade for my skin tone. Bronzer in the summer is a must for me, as I fake tan and love to warm up the face. The powder is very soft and finely milled, because its baked, so its easy to blend, it also smells of vanilla which I love. If you’re into bronzer I definitely recommend this one, it’s a gorgeous little compact too plus it also comes in another shade mediterranean tan.

I love kiko, I think it’s such an amazing brand and I love the quality and price point. Some of their products are cheaper  than drugstore brands you would find in Superdrug/ boots etc but are far better quality in my opinion.

What has tempted you from this collection!? Will you be picking anything up?

lanolips + hands + all over

If you’re like me and you had never heard of this brand before than I really hope this post will be helpful and encourage you to try a few products from this brand as I am so Impressed with what I’ve tried so far.

What Is Lanolips, Hands + all over?

It is a popular Australian natural lanolin company, stocked all over the world, and has won over 50 beauty awards which is amazinggg. All Lano products contain the main ingredient Lanolin, which helps to cure dry skin and lips. The brand is 100% natural and cruelty free which is also amazing for my cruelty free girls.

I am a big fan of Australian brands, I mean let’s be honest the girls are absolutely stunning and always look incredible, Their tan, hair and skin always looks so perfect, maybe It’s all the sunshine they get or maybe its the products they use, so I was really excited to try this as I hadn’t really heard much about it, I know  a lot of my followers on Instagram have as they have said it’s amazing and the lip balm seems to be popular,  so I think I have totally missed out on trying this brand until now that is.

Lanolips Tinted Balm

lanolips lip tints

Rose – typical rose pink shade that adds a glossy finish that leaves lips looking fuller

perfect nude – A sheer every day nude shade that will suit a lot of skin tones.

Rhubarb – sheer fruity tint that deepens and enhances your natural skin colour

My favourite out the 3 has got to be perfect nude (middle shade in the picture above) it’s gorgeous and I do love my nudes, I think it’s the most wearable for me as you really can’t go wrong with a nude can you? It just goes with everything. Now I’m not really a gloss or lip tint kind of girl normally, but when I find a shade I love I will wear it regardless of the formula. Plus I do love wearing more glossy lips in the spring/ summer time.

 Perfect Nude

lano lips perfect nude tinted balm

rhubard lanolips tinted balm

rose lanolips tinted balm

As you can see from my swatches they do all look very very similar on me, but I think it really depends on your natural lip colour. The nude is definitely my favourite. I just love it, its such a gorgeous shade and I’ve been wearing it constantly since I got it.

Rose isn’t that much different, it’s just a tad bit pinker than nude, and rhubarb is the darkest one out the 3 I have but again it’s really wearable and doesn’t look dark at all on me, it definitely does enhance my natural lip colour.

These are lip tints after all so they aren’t going to be super pigmented like say a lipstick or a gloss, but I think these are amazing for people who suffer with dry chapped lips, who perhaps dont like or feel comfortable wearing a matte finish as these are so moisturising and feel really lovely on. They are slighty sticky but again this doesn’t bother me, if you wear gloss you know what I’m on about.

They also arent super long lasting, but then I actually dont think they’re supposed to be, This also doesn’t bother me in the slightest as I dont mind re applying after I’ve eaten etc.

The packaging is really cute and the applicator is great to put in your handbag and use on the go. When I run out of the nude I will definitely be repurchasing, I also think this will be perfect to take on holiday with me as I do get dry lips from the sun. Must keep our lips protected and moisturised ladies! nothing worse than dry lips.

Lano Rose Hand Cream

lanolips hand cream

So now on to the hand cream, Lanolips also do skin care bits for hands and body to. I feel like hand cream is such an essential to have does anybody else??, I love having moisturised hands and nails. This has a lovely rose scent as it contains rose oil, it doesn’t leave my hands feeling sticky either which is a must for me with hand creams, as I like them to really soak in and not feel sticky or like the product is just laying on top of the skin. We use our hands so much, that sometimes they tend to get forgotten about but I always make sure to use a hand cream, Again I hate having dry hands and its definitely not a good look.

101 Ointment Multipurpose balm

lanolips 101 ointment

I am really excited to try this out a bit more, as it’s a multipurpose balm, so it can be used for nails, cuticles, dry patches on the skin, elbows, knees, Lips, insect bits, paper cuts, the list is endless! I get really dry patches on my skin so I cant wait to try this out a bit more and see how it performs. it’s a cute size as well so its perfect for travel and to keep in your handbag, this will also be coming on holiday with me as its very useful, I think this will definitely become one of my beauty and skin care essentials. it’s so important to keep your skin moisturised and looked after.

I really love everything I’ve tried and my first impressions on these bits are good,  I actually can’t fault anything, Im all for moisturised soft lips and skin so these products will always be useful and handy to have.

If I had to recommend just one or two things to try it would definitely be the ointment and nude lip tint balm.

Lano lips is available to purchase from a number of online retailers and stores Including…

Now that it’s officially spring and summer is almost here I thought this is the perfect time to do this post and talk about highlighters, as I dont know about anyone else but as soon as the weather changes and the sun comes out I’m all about bronzed and glowy skin. If you follow me on social media you will know how much I love dewy skin and illuminating products, I have quite the highlighter collection! I would say highlighters are definitely my weakness and I can’t seem to stop buying them.

This post is a collaboration with Debenhams so I wanted to talk about a few of the products that they stock and that are easily accessible for us makeup junkies, I’m so pleased Debenhams stock Laura Geller, The balm, Kat von D and MUFE to name a few, as a few years ago it was so hard to get these brands in the UK.  I also just want to do a mini review of each of these as well, because if you follow me on Instagram and watch my stories you would have seen me talking about these the other day and explaining a little bit about the Debenhams campaign for spring and summer.

I do get really excited about trying new highlighters because I am a massive highlighter junkie, and I think you can always tell if you like the formula and colour of a highlighter straight away. I know I have a lot of fellow beauty blogger friends who love to glow just as much as me, so I hope you enjoy this post.

I got a mixture of highlighters and liquid illuminators to try and I will explain a little bit about how I like to use them, to create a dewy and radiant complexion, Its amazing what you can do with the liquid ones and they are fast becoming my favourite to use.

Laura Geller baked gelato swirl illuminator in gilded honey

Every one went mad for this highlighter at one point, it was compared to loads of other limited edition gold highlighters like estee lauder heat wave and mac whisper of guilt.

What I Love about the Laura Geller one is the fact this formula is so soft and intense, although it’s a little bit smaller than a regular compact, a little bit goes a long way! I definitely think this suits more medium to dark skin tones but I’m pale and I just couldn’t resist this.

Laura Geller easy illuminating stick in Ballerina

I have had my eye on this for a while now, so I finally decided to get it, the easy illuminating stick comes in the same shades as the gelato swirl highlighters, but I wanted to try Ballerina as it looked like such a gorgeous rose gold shade. And plus I am trying to stop buying loads of gold highlighters as I do have a lot and wanted more of a variety of shades.

What I love about the stick is that its so easy for on the go and travel, and they give a completely different finish to a powder highlighter to, I have been loving cream and liquid highlighter over the last few months as I think it just looks so much more natural and gives you that glow from within look.

Ballerina is definitely rose gold compared to gilded honey, and I think this will complement my skin tone much better.

Buxom divine gooddess luminzer

Now this brand Buxom has only just launched on the Debenhams website so if you want to try anything I would get in quick as I think its going to sell out pretty quickly, I am so excited about this as it’s another american brand we couldn’t get hold of until now. I can’t believe how big this bottle is for £21, this will last ages!! I have started buying lots of liquid highlighters because I love adding them into my foundation and moisturisers, by doing that it really gives your skin a dewy and gorgeous finish which I think so many of us love for spring and summer, especially us dry skinned girls. This would also be lovely to add to your legs or collar bones if you have faked tanned or are looking a bit bronzed from a recent holiday.

I love this shade as it’s not too gold, I would describe it as champagne sort of gold , its wearable and has a light weight formula and will also suit so many different skin tones, because it’s for both face and body I can see myself using this a lot and it will definitely be coming to america with me!

Benefit girl meets pearl liquid highlighter

Benefit Watts UP

I am a huge lover of benefit, The watts UP highlighter has been my favourite for years now, it’s a gorgeous champagne gold that’s so wearable and it has such a lovely cream to powder finish, I find its perfect for my dry skin and doesn’t show up any texture of dryness. So I was really looking forward to trying the girl meets pearl liquid highlighter, like I said I’m a little bit obsessed with buying liquids at the moment, and this shade was unlike anything I had in my collection, it’s a gorgeous soft golden pink shade, you can definitely notice the pink tone it has but it’s not too pink.  Again this will be beautiful to add to foundations and creams or even wear alone for fresh looking dewy skin, If you like to glow but dont like anything to heavy like foundations etc then these liquid illuminators will be perfect for adding that natural glow to the skin.

MUFE pro light fusion highlighter

So you know I said I was trying to stay away from gold highlighters? well I couldn’t resist this one as its been on my list for ages whoops, ever since they released this in the duo! I’ve never tried any MUFE highlighters so I thought now was the time. first of, I love the design in the pan it’s so pretty to look at, the formula is really soft and smooth, it doesn’t feel rough or look glittery either which is a huge relief as I’m personally not keen on chunky glittery highlighters.

I would say the shade is pretty similar to gilded honey by Laura Geller, so I dont think you would need both, Im finding a lot of the gold highlighters now days are all very similar.

I really want to try the MUFE star lit range next as it all looks amazing!

The Balm Mary Lou

I only have this highlighter from the balm cosmetics but I definitely want to try more, This was another highlighter that gets raved about, so I was looking forward to trying it out. I think this is perfect for fair, light or even medium skin tones, its a gorgeous pale gold, its more of a  lighter gold rather than the warm golds like gilded honey and MUFE. The formula is really buttery and soft so you just have to be careful not to drop it as it will break easily.

you can see by the swatch it’s really intense so you only need a little bit, this compact will last you forever.

I love applying my powders using Mac fix plus, because I have dry skin, I get a bit paranoid with applying lots of powder to my face so I like to spray my brush with fix plus before applying highlighter, it gives it more of a wet finish rather than looking powdery. I highly recommend that if you suffer with dry skin or texture, I’ve also been adding liquid highlighters first than going over with powder highlighters after. I always add my highlighters to the cheek bones, brow bone, above the brow, down the nose and lastly on the cupids bow, any where the sun would naturally hit is where you would normally highlight, I love fresh and dewy skin that has a natural glow and looks effortless, Im not into this blinding and intense highlight I’m afraid, it’s just not for me.

(just wanted to show how blinding my highlight was at the end of the day although my other makeup looks worse for wear my highlight was still popping!! )

Here I used Benefit girl meets pearl with a tiny bit of watts up over the top.

You can shop all the highlighters I’ve mentioned in this post here

Do you prefer the dewy look? I definitely prefer dewy foundations and highlighters, I would cover myself and look like tin man if I could ha ha!

let me know what your favourite highlighter is and if you prefer the dewy or matte look!

I cant wait to get my glow on this summer!
