Too faced bronzers

Two Products I am absolutely loving for summer and that’s Bronzers and highlighters, I did a review about my current favourite highlighter which is the Too Faced Love lights prismatic highlighter in Blinded by the light which you can read all about here but now on to my other products I can’t get enough off and that’s these Too faced bronzers In chocolate Soleil and sun bunny!! I mean firstly these names are the cutest, Too Faced seriously kill it on packaging and shade names every time!

This is the first time I have tried these bronzers, although I have wanted to try them for some time now as everyone raves about them! I mean they also smell of chocolate so who doesn’t want to eat them, opps I mean smother your face in them ha ha

I thought I was going to need milk chocolate but actually I think that would have been a little bit light for me especially in the summer months as I’m more tanned, so chocolate soleil is perfect for both contouring and bronzing.

Too faced chocolate soleil

Chocolate Soleil

As you can see Chocolate soleil isn’t too warm or orange, it’s the perfect contour/bronzing shade for me. It’s matte and smells like something you can eat, It’s seriously delicious. And I absolutely love it, it applies so nicely and blends really easily into the skin so it doesn’t look muddy on the skin, which no one likes when applying bronzer.  This is recommended for more medium skin tones but I personally think depending on what you look for In a bronzer lighter skin tones will also really love this.

“Infused with antioxidant rich cocoa powder and signature bronzing pigments to create a unique matte bronzer that neutralises red and evens skin tone”

Too faced sun bunny bronzer

Sun Bunny

Sun bunny is maybe my favourite, ok no I lie, but It’s a hard one as I love them both but this one definitely gives me that warm bronzed skin I’m loving for the summer, but it also gives me a nice glow as it has the tiniest amount and I mean the tiniest amount of shimmer in, dont worry it’s not glittery or looks awful on the skin, I actually think bronzes that contain a little shimmer look so beautiful on the skin for the summer and when you’re wearing fake tan. It’s nice to change it up a bit from typical matte bronzers and I feel like people are sometimes put off by a shimmer bronzer.   Sun bunny is a duo toned bronzer, one side is more golden and the other side is a classic bronze shade which has a pinky tone to it, which is so unusual for bronzers to have a pink tone as most of them are more brown, red or gold toned. This is perfect for all skin tones and really is universal.

“mimics a natural tan without any of the orangey ick! Universal shade: perfect for all skin tones to provide a medium tan”

Too faced bronzers review and swatches

Left is Chocolate soleil and right is Sun bunny, These are just the perfect shades, and I think these would look gorgeous both mixed together as well. I mixed both the shades of sun bunny here so you can what it looks like.

Another reason why I love these is the packaging is soooo bloody gorgeous, like I said Too Faced kill it every time with the packaging, I love the gold compacts and design, it also comes with a handy mirror inside so it’s perfect for travel and on the go. These look so pretty on my vanity I’m Seriously obsessed!! Because who doesn’t love displaying makeup as well as using it!

My Too Faced collection is growing and my wish list is getting slightly longer eeek!!

Too faced review

Have you tried any of the Too Faced bronzers?? I definitely recommend these If you love a bronzer these definitely do not disappoint at all and have quickly become one of my summer essentials.

Thank you Too faced for always killing it!! And thank you as always for reading xo

ciate glow to highlighters

Ciate London is a brand I have wanted to try for ages now, I have tried the nail products in the past but not any of their makeup, But when these Glow – to highlighters come out I Knew I had to try them, I mean hello this is me we are talking about, I can never resist a gorgeous highlighter!! opps!

The packaging is so stunning, It really stands out and looks so beautiful on my makeup vanity. I always feel like when a product has pretty packaging you just know its going to be good. Anyone else think this?!

ciate glow to highlighters review

They have 2 shades to choose from, which I feel will be perfect for every skin tone, one is definitely more for fair to light skin tones and the other one is more medium to deep but that doesn’t mean you can’t have both like me, you can use them for lots of different things and not just on the cheeks. I love using highlighters as eyeshadow to add that little extra something to the eyes, I also love adding it to my body like shoulders and collar-bone etc, I mean why not glow from head to toe!.

Moondust – a glistening pearlescent oyster

Stardust – a creamy champagne gold

Moondust is definitely more for lighter skin tones and what I think suits me more, Im really loving pinky toned highlighters at the moment over gold, which I thought would never happen, I have always been a gold highligher kind of girl, But moondust just looks so gorgeous on fair skin tones.

ciate glow to highlighters moondust

Stardust is more of a champagne gold, that typical gold that everyone loves and never gets old or goes out of fashion.

Can we just talk about how beautiful the packaging is and the detail of the pan, I love the stars it’s so cute!! when I posted these pictures on my Instagram literally everyone said how cute the packaging was and the stars really made it stand out to others. which I completely agree on.

Now on to the actual formula, it is super pigmented and so smooth to touch, just swiping my finger in had so much pigment. It applied really nicely and blended into the skin which I love in a highlighter, I hate ones that just lay on top of the skin and show all your texture, that’s just a no no for me.

Here I mixed a little bit of both shades which looked really nice, I just found the gold one was a little bit to gold for what I wanted on this particular day.

I personally love these and think they’re gorgeous, and everything I want in a highlighter, a creamy smooth powder, which is pigmented and applies/blends well and that also nicely melts into the skin, plus because you only need a tiny but these will last you ages so they’re well worth £26.

I’m desperate to try the new Bamboo bronzers they have also recently launched! I am seriously loving highlighter and bronzers at the moment I can’t seem to get enough and I dont want summer to end!! I’m just not ready to give up my dewy and bronzed skin!!

I definitely need to try more makeup from Ciate London, as these havent disappointed me, the bronzers, the glow- to illuminating blush and the dewy stix are now on my wish list!!

What’s even better is these are 100%

  • Paraben-free
  • Vegan Friendly
  • Gluten-free

kylie cosmetics ultra glow

You should all know by now I am a massive Kylie cosmetics fan, although I’ve been really good and resisted a lot of the recent collections, I do love her liquid lip kit sets, bronze eyeshadow palette and her kylighters to name just a few. But when I saw her snapchat recently with this new vacation edition collection I lost my shit Im not going to lie ha! The packaging and products had me drooling, I am a sucker for nude, and gold and this packaging is probably her best yet. well done Kylie!! and plus I am a massive highlighter junkie so obvs I was drawn to the highlighters out of the whole collection surprise surprise, I definitely need highlighter rehab!!

I also really wanted the wet set highlighter palette as well but it sold out while I was checking out, not going to lie I was devastated as I did really want it and it was so much easier to order everything together rather than 2 separate orders and get custom fees!! The dreaded custom fees has what’s put me off ordering any Kylie stuff for a while if I’m honest but I knew I had to have this collection so I gave in and just got these ultra glow loose pigment highlighters, they were $14 each, which is quite reasonable I would say. She has 3 shades to choose from and I obviously had to get all 3 because like I said I have serious issues when it comes to highlighters.

Santorini – a shimmering silver Champaign, but I think it looks more like a white pearl shade

Fiji – A shimmering soft gold, I would say this is a true gold.

Tahiti – A shimmering Light rose gold, I would say its more pinky rose

The delivery was pretty standard and arrived about 2 weeks after ordering and I got a £15 custom fee which wasn’t to bad considering royal mail charge an £8 handing fee!!

The only thing I was gutted about was the fact I didn’t get the vacation note card thing she sends, it seems like it was really hit and miss on who got them which I think is bad considering I ordered 3 of the vacation edition products and spent $42 not including shipping, I know it’s not a massive deal over a card but I love collecting them.

I absolutely love the packaging on these as well, I would say it was pretty standard packaging for loose pigments,I love the Kylie Jenner writing in gold, but I do think it would have made it even more pretty and luxurious if the bottom was maybe see through glass or plastic so you could see the pigments inside. But overall I do like it.

kylie summer collection

I have been playing with these all weekend, and I’m actually in love, I can’t get over how pigmented they are, I use Santorini on the cheeks as a highlighter and used Fiji on the eyes, I feel like these can be really versatile and you can use them pretty much anywhere and the body too, to give you that gorgeous glowy skin!! I was worried when I first swatched them as it did look really glittery but when applied it doesn’t look glittery at all on the face and really melts into the skin, Santorini is probably my favourite out the 3 as its more suitable for my skin tone but I will definitely be using the other ones on the eyes and body or when Im more tanned.

I’m definitely hoping Kylie makes these permanent and brings out more shades as these are so gorgeous and will be very popular. I’m really glad I decided to get them and I’m also really happy I managed to order the wet set palette and velvets the other day when she restocked, so hopefully they will be here next week, keep a look out as I will probably review those as well.

Did you pick anything up from this collection or are you hoping she restocks soon so you can grab something?

Thanks for reading xo

The Too faced Prismatic Highlighters are recently new out in the UK, and I have had my eye on these for a quite a while, as soon as I saw pictures of these at the end of last year I knew I needed them In my life, I mean we all know I am a massive highlighter junkie, I have quite the collection so I like to think I know a fair bit about all the different brands and formulas etc.

These highlighters seem to be getting a lot of mixed reviews at the moment and a few people I know have either sold theirs or absolutely love it, so I know there is a bit of a divide when it comes to these but I was excited to personally try them myself as everyone is different and looks for different things when it comes to makeup, I  like a subtle, buildable highlight that soaks into the skin and doesn’t just sit on top of the skin and show all your texture, as I really dont think that’s a good look on me.

So keep on reading to see my thoughts on these and If I would recommend…

The shade I have is blinded by the light which is the lightest out of the 3 available, personally its more suitable for my skin tone because I’m  more on the pale side, and lately I’m  really loving pearl and pink toned highlighters over the usual bright golds!

Blinded by the light is a creamy off white pearl almost like a really light white Champaign gold, does that make sense?! I hope it does ha ha I think it’s because it has a pearlescent tone to it and reflects all different colours, one minute it looks white and then the next it looks more white gold, but what I love about it is the fact it’s not a full on white colour as sometimes white highlighters can look really intimidating to use, but this shade is really beautiful and I think would look amazing on a lot of skin tones. Even If you’re more medium to dark skin tone then this will look gorgeous as a brow and inner eye highlighter also.

I’ve tried taking these close-ups so you can really see that light reflecting pigments

The texture is described as a liquid to powder finish, and claims to make the skin feel and look more luminous and radiant. It has a new formula that uses pearls in their orignal shape rather than crushing them, which enables the light reflecting pigments to float in the powder and be visible from any angle. Urm yesss!! I love the sound of this, and I would definitely agree with the light reflecting claim, I think this highlighter is super pigmented and really does give off that  pearlescent finish to the skin which I love. The texture is super silky and smooth and doesn’t feel like a powder at all when applied, it is really subtle and buildable but blends and soaks into the skin nicely, it really does look gorgeous. I think that’s why these are getting so many mixed reviews in the makeup community at the moment as I know a lot of people love the intense powder highlighters that you can see from “outer space” as they say, but with these I think it gives off more of that “glow from within” look which I personally love but others maybe aren’t wowed by. But I know I was and I went on my insta stories to show it off as it looked incredible.

You can see here I was wearing it on the tops of my cheek bones and above my brow, I love how natural and radiant it looks on the skin and makes the skin look so glowy but not to over the top which I prefer, but if you are one of these people who love an intense glow I definitely think you can achieve it with these.

Can we just also appreciate the packaging on these, how gorgeous is it?? I am a sucker for pretty packaging, I love the metallic heart shape and the design and texture of the pan is so unusual. It really stands out especially on my vanity, I mean who doesn’t want pretty makeup to admire?! It’s almost to pretty to use.

I definitely give these Prismatic highlighters a big thumbs up and I’m really impressed, I really want to check out the other 2 shades now as I feel like I need the whole set ha ha, I am a massive lover of Too Faced and their collections are always so eye catching. I really need to get my hands on the natural love eyeshadow palette next that came out around the same time as these, it looks so gorgeous. Too Faced never seem to disappoint. If you’re a fellow highlighter addict like me then I definitely think you need these and will love them just as much as I do.

If you’re a regular shopper with ASOS then you will know that the beauty section is amazing and they stock some fab brands, including a few I will mention in this post, I think It’s great that ASOS now offer a beauty section, and they stock brands that are very popular and you would normally only find on the high street, sometimes its just easier to order online. Some of the brands they stock include, NARS, Pixi, The Ordinary, Benefit, Lime crime, Star skin, Alpha H to name just a few.

I thought this was the perfect time to talk about some of the recent spring time Launches with some of them being ASOS exclusives.

3inA Wedding face Palette

Unless you want a very pastel themed makeup look for your wedding I wouldn’t say this is Just a bridal palette, Its got stunning shades that are so In for spring. I dont think pastel is going anywhere for spring/summer. This face palette has stunning highlighter shades for every one. It illuminates the face and adds a subtle natural glow. The powders are so silky soft, I think Im going to really love this. I Love the fact its unusual, Highlighters dont always have to be gold and champagne shades right?! Dont let the pastel shades put you off as this really does suit and complement lots of skin tones and can be subtle and buildable.

Exclusive NARS orgasm set

The famous NARS orgasm blush, In this amazing set that comes with the powder blush, liquid illuminator, and multiple orgasm lipstick which I think can be used as so many things, even a cream blush!!

Can you believe I’ve never tried this blush, I have always wanted to but never gotten round to picking it up, It is a NARS cult classic and I can see why, It complements so many skin tones and the formula is amazing, so intense but blend able, this powder will last you forever. Its a warm pinky peach toned shade with gold shimmer.

This set is only £55 and is such a bargain for all 3 of these products plus they are full size products not sample sizes!!, If you’re a NARS lover you definitely need this set.

The Ordinary High spreadability primer

I have been wanting to try this brand for so long!! I’ve heard such good things about the Ordinary products and they’re so affordable to, so Im excited to try this primer out more.  I do love a good face and makeup primer and Im always on the hunt to try new ones. This high spreadability fluid primer seems to be versatile for a lot of skin types as well and helps to avoid the unnatural and uneven accumulation of pigments, especially around the eyes and on dry skin. I suffer with the odd dry patch so Im looking forward to trying this out more, but so far I am really impressed, I feel like it really smooths and blurs the skin so when I apply my makeup it looks flawless and has a lovely finish, but stay tuned as you might see it mentioned more on social media or my monthly favourites.

You can Shop whats new In the beauty section  here

Have you picked anything up from ASOS beauty recently? or will be trying some of these popular spring favourites?
